Service Description

This is a class for brand new neon makers - No experience required. In this is 4 week class, students will learn neon bending basics, a brief history of neon, how neon works & influential neon works. The goal of this experience is to build a strong glass bending foundation for students. Curriculum - (Subject to change) Week 1 - Safety, studio practices, demos and first two bends: Right angles and double backs. Week 2 - Revisit first two bends and introduce welding glass together. In depth pattern direction. Week 3 - Review first three bends and introduction to block letters. Script, time permitting. Week 4 - Culmination of previous weeks and introduction to soft curves, circles and shapes. We work to intentionally a create a safe environment to learn this challenging craft. You'll benefit from a small intimate class size with a lot of one on one teaching & coaching. You'll receive your own blow hose, associated adapters, and practice glass. All necessary tools will be stocked at your work station. Enrolled students get the exclusive benefit of adding on additional services at a deep discount. For example: Pumped pieces half off, transformer or mounting materials at cost, discounted studio practice time. Any additional supplies or types of glass are available for purchase. Note that you will have everything you need practice, we keep a supply of additional items should you wish to try them out. A note about Covid-19 Radiant Neon requires all participants to be fully vaccinated and have proof of a booster within the last 6 months or in accordance with CDC guidelines.
